The orthopedic surgeon that Austin, Tx turns to for a meniscus tear, acl surgery, & rotator cuff surgery.
Dr. Scott Welsh is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon with a particular interest in the treatment of knee injuries such as Meniscus Tears and ACL Tears. He also specializes in Rotator Cuff Tears, Bicep Tendon Injuries, Cartilage Injuries, and disorders of the Patella.
He has a special interest in procedures to transplant or regenerate new cartilage in the knee using minimally invasive techniques. He has an interest in ligament reconstructions of the knee, meniscus surgery, and minimally invasive procedures on the shoulder and ankle. He also performs fracture repair and total joint replacements of the knee. He works closely with physical therapists, athletic trainers, personal trainers, chiropractors, and nutritionists to maximize patient education and help athletes get back to their active lifestyle as quickly as possible.
We also evaluate patients who have other injuries such as ankle sprains, elbow injuries, and wrist injuries. We treat fractures of all types as well as degenerative joint disease, especially of the knee. We’re also incorporating stem cells and platelet rich plasma (PRP) into our treatments for arthritis, meniscus tears, rotator cuff tears, and articular cartilage injuries.
